Training Partners

NP Teaching is running leading-edge courses, free of charge, for all of its assigned teachers and support staff. The in-service courses will be designed to leave attendees with additional contemporary expertise for teaching and supporting all of their students. All personnel will be actively encouraged to enrol on these courses, and NP Teaching will deliver them in association in collaboration with both National Inspections and The College of Teachers.
About National Inspectors:
In 1996 the government formed OFSTED. OFSTED’s role was to identify and monitor the quality of education in schools. To do this the government trained several thousand inspectors from the local education authorities and then invited them to participate in the inspection of schools.
The inspections were organised by contractors who put together teams to inspect the schools identified by OFSTED. National Inspections started in 1996 as one of the contractors. Initially there were several hundred contractors. Over the years the number has fallen, and now only a few remain.
National Inspections moved into the training of teachers and classroom assistants. Using OFSTED inspectors, courses were put together for schools. These courses either shared the good practice found during inspection or they addressed comments and significant issues.
Today National Inspections runs well over 100 courses each year and also participate in extensive programmes of in-school consultancy. For further information please visit their web site at www.national-inspections.co.uk
