The LAUNCH of NP TEACHING’s SEN (Special Educational Needs) IN-SERVICE TRAINING:

Work for NP Teaching and you get free training leading to a qualification!!

NP Teaching has teamed up with National Inspections and the College of Teachers to provide you with training on how to deal with children with special needs within the classes of mainstream schools.

You have a choice of either attending face-to-face sessions or studying distance learning modules at home. Whichever route you choose, you can be awarded the
Certificate of Educational Studies, NP Teaching (SEN).

This is a recognised qualification, awarded by the College of Teachers and earned by following a programme of study devised and delivered by those in the best place to know what works.

National Inspections only use trainers who are past or present OFSTED inspectors.

Choose the face-to-face route and you’ll enjoy three days of training in all aspects of the management of children with special needs. This includes those with physical difficulties and behavioural problems, and you will learn how to recognise, and deal, with each in an inclusive mainstream classroom.

The alternative is to pick the modular approach. Choose 18 from a menu of 43 modules then study at a time and place of your choosing. Each module takes about 75 minutes to complete but students are under no pressure because there is no deadline and you may therefore work at your own pace. Each module is complete in itself so you can tailor your training to your own developmental needs. NP Teaching will even give you email access to a tutor, in case you get stuck, and a certificate of completion for each module that you finish and submit.

Access to the training couldn’t be simpler. Each day you work with us earns you a training point. Three training points earn a module and 15 will provide a day of face-to-face training. That means it needs 45 points to complete the three days needed. And every time you finish five modules NP Teaching will give you the sixth free! In this way, both routes need 45 points so you are now just 45 points away from earning a useful formal qualification.

Face-to-face courses are held in London, Birmingham and across the UK. All venues are easily accessible by public transport. In London you should take the tube to Great Portland Street, from which the venue is just a three-minute walk. It couldn’t be more convenient and you’ll get to meet people doing the same job as you. That doesn’t happen too often! It also means the focus will be on the everyday issues which you face. It’s personal, it’s focused, it’s relevant and it’s fun.

The modular route lets you make the most of those quiet moments. It lets you choose when to work. If you love to work at two in the morning, on Sunday afternoons or in 10-minute bursts then this is for you. It puts you in control but you’re still not alone since you have your email tutor for company. You just need an Internet link and the course is delivered to you, wherever you are. But, if you’re somewhere sunny and exotic, don’t tell your tutor! You wouldn’t want to make them jealous now would you?

So NP Teaching gives you free training and a free qualification.
